I know for a lot of us, scrapbooking is a “thing of the past”… and we don’t feel there is a need or time for it anymore. BUT… I’m here to tell you, it still has a place and can be really easy!
The other day I was looking for a particular photo amongst my 90k pictures on my phone and although I organize my photos well, I was struggling finding this photo. The photo was taken over five years ago and I couldn’t remember which camping trip we were on so it was difficult to track down. I decided to pull out my scrapbooks and look there for the particular camping trip.
What happened next is the reason for this post. Not only did I find the photo easily, I read my entire scrapbook from cover to cover. I used to write a little something about our day, every day and take a photo to go with it. I journaled the funny stories, sayings from my kids, good days, bad days, and everything in between. Things I wouldn’t have ever remembered, I recalled when I read it and seriously was brought to tears several times.
So… the point of all of this. Let’s not make it complicated, fancy or time consuming. It can be easy and I want to help anyone who would like to take this journey with me. 🙂
I plan to do one week back for every new week I scrapbook. That’s only two a week and Sunday’s are the perfect day! My layouts only take me 10 minutes, start to finish.
I waste 20 minutes on social media easily and it will never reward me the way this will!
