Spring Break 2019
We wanted to get out of town for spring break. The Worldmark was open so we took advantage and went. ๐ I had a work board meeting on monday morning, then a demo right after for a new city so we didn’t get out of town until mid-afternoon.
I didn’t realize how far the drive was clear to San Diego lol. We didn’t get there until 8:30 p.m. It wasn’t too bad and it only rained on us a little bit.
We checked in and settled into our condo. I love staying at the Worldmark. Full kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, full bathrooms. They are like our home away from home.
The next day we went to breakfast at Denny’s, then headed to Mission Beach. It was a little chilly so we didn’t really “beach it”. We shopped the fun shops for new summer clothes, rode the roller coaster, ate treats and attempted to ride the electric scooters but they were all dead. After leaving the beach, we headed to Old Town. It was so cool and a fun place to walk around. Then we headed back to the condo for swimming and dinner.
The next day we went to La Jolla to explore. We did some tide pool searching for the largest crabs. Looked at the seals on seal beach, ate lunch at Rubio’s (yummy) and explored the fun town. Note to remember: SO MANY TESLAS! ๐ We ate dinner at a place like Sakura in St. George. It was really good and fun. We also visited the Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial Park. It was a really neat place and great views of the city.
The next day we decided to beach it. I had to work most of the morning but that was ok because it warmed up for our beach day. We went to Coronado. The water was pretty chilly so we mostly chilled on the beach. We decided to not stay the last night and cut our drive time in half. So we loaded up and hit the road to vegas for the night.
However, when we approached vegas, we decided to just carry on to home. ๐ So, we got in at 2 am and hit the sack. It was perfect because it gave the kids a full day of friends and fun before going to their dads for the weekend. ๐ It was such a fun trip and good family time with my kids.
